1. If you had to label yourself as to one genre of music you listen to the most, what would it be?
For me it would have to be Pop music. I don't care what year but I really get into it.
2. What are five items that you always keep in your purse?
Wallet, Epi Pen, Spare Girly stuffs, Brush, Hair Tie
3. If you could drink only one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Coconut Rum. If you are only giving me one option I may as well have fun with it. JUST KIDDING. I would pick Mt. Dew
4. What are three tv shows you miss watching that are no longer aired?
ER, 90210 (The Old school version) and I can't think of a 3rd one.
5. What is one cd your own that people would laugh if you told them you actually bought that?
I don't own any that anyone would laugh at. Now back in the day I did. But I don't own it anymore so I can say it doesn't apply here :)
6. What is one job/career you told yourself you would never do even if it was your last resort?
I will have to agree with my friend Trixie when she says anything to do with Barf or Poop. Just not going to happen.
7. How did you decide on the name{s} of your child{ren}?
With D it was the one my husband and I liked best. For Monkey it was not decided until a few weeks before he was born and it was something that flowed with D's name (Dylan and Tyler)
8. What is one show you refuse to miss no matter what?
Survivor
9. How many miles would you say you drive in a week?
On average about 30
10. Who is one celebrity you wish would just go away & disappear off the face of the earth never to return?
There are quite a few but just one....Oh I can't pick just one. So I would have to say the cast of Jersey Shore. I am done hearing about them.

Happy Hump Day

Happy Hump Day! Hope this finds you all doing well. I for one am glad the week is half way over. Bubba has a 3 day weekend coming up and I think it is the first time that he is going to be home all weekend long in months. I need a small break from D and Monkey and just a little me time.

We have decided to spend the weekend cleaning out our garage. I will post before and after pics. It is insanely packed full of random junk that I just can't seem to part with. Well I plan on purging it this weekend so Goodwill can have some of my stuff that I really don't have to have. We are going to bring boxes inside to go through them instead of working in the garage like we normally do since it is so stinkin hot out there we never get it all the way finished. So I am making it my mission to make sure the house is cleaned by Friday and that it is ready to start sorting out the 200 boxes we have out there. I plan on finishing it this weekend too. Wish me luck, I am surely going to need it.

...to get all my chores done on Friday so I can sit on my ass all weekend without feeling guilty

...to stay inside unless it is absolutely necessary to go outside in this God awful heat

...to be really glad I don't live on the coast anymore when I hear about the hurricane's

...to be really excited for Friday afternoon to roll around so I can get a break from the kids while Bubba tends to them

Yep, I been slacking. I have to admit I am not a great blogger by any means and I get on a roll and love to post then I get to a blah day and don't post at all. Take this post for instance. 1. I am a momma to 2 boys who are my world.

2. I am a jeans and tank top kinda girl no matter what the occasion. Sure I love to get all dolled up but it is rare.

3. I love to hide in the tub to read a good book.

4. My momma is one of my best friends. I tell her just about everything.

5. I got married on Christmas Day.

6. My favorite color is teal and I am a sucker for just about anything with Polka Dots ...(My new bedding is teal and white polka dots)

7. I eat sweet pickles in my tacos. Don't hate and give a dirty look unless you have tried it out first.

2nd Grade here we come!!

Hello and Happy Monday. I will be back later to post more just wanted to get a picture of D on his first day of 2nd Grade up here. He was just as excited as I was to head to school.

Haircuts

I love taking pictures of Monkey and D. Today was no different. I always take before and after pics because I just love seeing the transformation. This one isn't as exaggerated as some but D is starting school on Monday (WOOHOO) and he needed a haircut before then. Do you take before and after pics of your kids like I do?

Target Tuesday!

I'm fairly new to the blogging thing, so I'm doing a lot of reading of other blogs and following them. One of the blogs I have started following does something called 'Target Tuesday'. I've decided to link up with Tara from www.fabulousbutevil.com for Target Tuesday!

So I was reading over at http://www.kirstenjoywilson.com and she is doing a Marriage Monday link up. So I am linking up and going to tell you today the story of how Bubba and I began our journey into marriage!

Bubba and I met through mutual friends a few years before we were to start dating. He would say hi to me when we saw each other out and I would say hi back while trying to remember where I met him. (I did alot of partying in those days).

Fast forward to about 3 years later and a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to go out with him and some of his friends that night to shoot some darts and have a few drinks. I had no other plans so I said sure and followed him back to his house. We are waiting on his roommate to get home so we are just hanging out and in walks Bubba and the first thing out of his mouth is "Who parked in my spot" I grinned and said.."That would be me". He gave me a look and walked past me along with grumbling something about me taking his parking spot along with his favorite spot on the couch.

So we head out to go play some darts and all night long Bubba ignores me. Acts like I am not even there. HELLO! I was looking damn hot that night thank you very much. So later in the evening I am getting ready to head out since I have to be at work at 5 a.m. and need a few hours of sleep so my friend walks me out. A few minutes later Bubba comes out and tells our friend it is his turn and walks towards me. We talk for about 15 minutes and out of nowhere he kisses me. We exchange numbers and I go on my way.

I talked to him the next day and we decided that since he was leaving in 3 months to go into the military and I was leaving in 3 months to move to Arizona with my family that we were going to just remain friends. The next 3 months we were pretty much together all the time. The week before we were both to leave we went up to Northern Florida to the panhandle area where his parents have a summer home to just spend our last weekend together.

What I didn't know was that he spoke to my dad before we left (awwwwww). On Sunday morning before we were going to drive back home he proposed. He was nervous and sweaty and by the time he proposed somehow we were facing a different direction.

Anyhow, obviously I said yes and we got married 3 months later when he was home on leave on Christmas Day. Yes, I said Christmas Day but that is another post.

Almost 9 years later and we are still tolerating each other.
